Today in “are you joking?” In Touch Magazine has run a “Who Wore it Better” spread featuring three year olds. These spreads are bad enough already, but bringing in toddlers to be judged against one another is a new low.

Toddlers & Tiaras: The Quintessential Reason for SPARK
The idea of dressing young girls up way past their age with heavy amounts of makeup and, in some cases, clothing that exposes their bodies, is astoundingly unacceptable. I don’t and never will understand the need to parade young girls around in makeup and extravagant outfits to give them the message that their beauty is all that matters. Not what kind of person they are, or will be, or their interests, but solely their meaning is all based on looks.
THIS IS HORRIBLE

i hate seeing things like this…

What do you see? I see:
- Forehead adjustment
- Left side of lip shadow fix
- Small crack in the chin bone was reduced
- Breasts enlarged
- Left arm armpit wrinkle removed
- Slight stomach wrinkle gone
- Left thigh slimmed down. Causes for an unbalanced appearance overall to right thigh.
- Panty wrinkle (Why does that even matter?)
- Fingers and sock adjusted
- Lighting fixes to make her look better.
The media has ruined true beauty.
meh.
I’m surprised that’s all they’ve done. They’ve not done much different, she looks the same just more glowing.
This is why I often hate the media. No wonder girls have warped perceptions of beauty, because it doesn’t fucking exist. Katy Perry looks absolutely fine as she is before, then they just go and try to make her their idea of perfection. It’s stupid. Why can’t the media just let people look how they look? None of us will EVER look that glowing etc in real life, it just doesn’t happen. I want to work in the media, but I want to stay away from everything like this because it just pisses me off that people are always photoshopped and can’t just be themselves. It must be pretty degrading for these women as well, to know that they will never be good enough to just have their normal selves in a mag.
